Medical Support Assistant
Laurie Chapin Broste is an enrolled member of the Three Affiliated Tribes. Her parents were Neale Chapin and Gloria (Smith) Chapin. Laurie has three Children Kanzas Johnson, Lee Johnson, and Kelsey Hinton. She lives in rural Parshall, ND with her best friend Wayne Broste her husband of 31 years.
Laurie was born in Petersburg, Virginia and returned to Keene, North Dakota after her Father was discharged from the Army. She grew up on the Chapin Family Farm/Ranch. Laurie Graduated from New Town High School. In 1990 Laurie moved to ELK River, MN and there she went back to school at Anoka Hennepin Technical College Anoka, MN. She is a Certified Medial Assistant.
In the year 2000 Laurie moved her family home to Keene ND and started working for the Fort Berthold Diabetes Program as a Medical Support Assistant January 2001. Laurie quit her job in May 2013 to help with her Grandchildren and just spend time with her family. She enjoys helping patients, scheduling appointments for all clinics in the Diabetes Program. Laurie has returned to the Diabetes Program in June 2021. She states this is the best place to be Laurie enjoys her new job duties and co-workers and sitting next to her old pal Delia some things don’t change.
Laurie enjoys working in her perennial flower gardens around her home and loves spending hot summer days on the pontoon tubing with family and friends. Horses are still one of her favorites and loves riding horse.
